Mayne Island Japanese Garden Christmas Lights

This goal was initiated in 1945 by helping develop the Non-Governmental Organization NGO. The International Lions of which we are a part set a goal to serve 100 million people by June 30 2018. Each Christmas they put together an amazing display of lights for families to come and enjoy.
Various stretches and muscle strokes and pressure are combined to give the best results. There is evidence that the seasonal Christmas lights are being strung. Once upon a time during the early 1900s Mayne Island had a pretty strong Japanese-Canadian community.
The parade will follow the same route as the Fall Fair parade. The Garden is open from 5 - 7 pm nightly from Friday December 20 to Jan 1st except for Christmas Eve. The garden is not meant to be a totally correct Japanese Garden but more one of beauty for all Mayne Islanders to share.
